When we got into the hall we sat down on the chairs and he waited until we were settled then he told us the 2 rules of the kitchen they were 1. We had to put our hand up if we wanted to ask a question. and  n.o. 2 we had to sit still until we were asked to go up. Then Chris started to show us how to make crepes. Athletics day recount

When i got to Athletics day on Friday 13th November i knew immediately that it was going to be the most tiring day of my life.

When we got to dairy flat schools athletics day on Friday 13th November (black Friday) the most challenging thing for Rimu (my house) was to win athletics day.

When it was time to go to High Jump for the year 5 boys A-team we went over to the terf and sat on the bench. Then Mrs Mowat told us to get on the side that we were comfortable with to jump over the high jump bar. When Mrs Mowat put up the High Jump bar to the inter schools mark I jumped and failed and Joshua McGill and Luke Grogler made it and they qualified for inter-schools then josh came first luke came second and i came third.

Next we went to discus when we got there we sat in a line behind william and waited until Mrs Thompson got there josh was bragging about how he was going to come 1st when it was my turn after josh luke was coming 1st and josh 2nd i had my throw and i couldn't believe it i was coming first!!!!!!!!! Then we had our 2nd turn and luke just beat me so Luke came 1st I came 2nd and josh came 3rd and we all qualified for inter-schools.

After that we went to long jump i went last to have a jump and i just missed qualifying for inter-schools and i just came 4th by 2 centimeters because i didn't jump off the board. Then we went to shot put i went last again and Luke was coming first and josh was coming 2nd when it was my turn i threw it as hard as i could into the air and i came 3rd and just missed qualifying and i was really sad that i didn't qualify.

After Morning tea the boys went to the sprints the year 0s went first when it finally got to the year 5 heats i was in the second year 5 heat and i came first for my heat and got into the 50 meter sprint final. When we got to the year 5 finals i got beaten by josh by an inch and i was so sad. Then when we got to the 80 meter sprints i came first in the 1st heat again. Then when it was time for the final i came 2nd by 2cm  and i was the most saddest boy in the world and the most tired as well.

I was the happiest boy when i qualified for races and i would you would enjoy it as well.

Reading Response

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

By J.K.Rowling

Exciting, Thrilling and surprising

As Harry walked into the great hall the castle was still the same with the same cold dungeons, the same rickety walls and the exact same huge hallway.

There is Harry wearing black robes, half moon spectacle glasses, a lightning shape scar and a pointed wizard hat. Hermione a shabby wizards hat, black robes and slik brown hair. Ron ginger hair, very shabby hat and black robes.

This book has already been a movie these are the actors Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Bonnie Wright, Alan Rickman, Robert Pattinson, Michael Gambern, Robbie Coltrane and the list goes on.

TNT because it has a good beat and I like drums.

My mum and dad because they would be really proud if I write a book.

So they have put the the information in the Hibiscus Matters newspaper and is there for everyone to see so check out the link http://www.localmatters.co.nz/Hibiscus+Matters/June+2015/Schools+tackle+cotton+wool+culture.html

weekend sport

Weekend Sport

On Sunday Me and my dad watched the the kiwis v kangaroos Anzac test (league) They played against Australia at Suncorp Stadium in Australia. It has been 62 years since the kiwis have beat the kangaroos 3 times in a row.

When the game started the kiwis booted it down the field here comes Australia the kiwis recieve the ball and run down the field. “Here they go”!
About 13 minutes later New Zealand could not hold Australia back and they scored a try.
About 7 minutes later New Zealand scored. Lovely set piece from the tap puts Johnson into about an acre of space, he finds Manu Vatuvei with the long pass and The Beast won't be stopped from there, too much pace from Manu and he dives into the corner to score. Johnson converted this. 7 mins later Shaun Johnson chips down to the left, Manu Vatuvei collects it and a try in the corner Johnson converts. 2 mins later Johnson receives the ball dummies, steps inside and scores right next to the post. (6-18) and he converts. Shaun Kenny-Dowell scores Australia is on the line of the kiwis he tries to flick the ball back but he misses and the kiwis score again Johnson converts (26-6). Its Half time.
After halftime they come out and here they come again. 19 mins later Australia get a come back and score to make it (26-12) to the kiwis and the kiwis win the test match 26 to 12.
